Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.

It’s extremely ironic to me that the same Jesus that was despised and rejected by men is the same Jesus that Easter is all about. I’m sure that most of the people in this generation do not really know that Easter is about the risen Savior. It would be shocking news to many to find out that the risen Christ we celebrate does not approve of their lifestyle, and will one day soon, be the Standard they are judged against. As we near Easter take every opportunity you have to tell people about the risen Savior. Let everyone know that our Lord is alive and wants to impart life to everyone who will receive Him. Don’t be surprised when you meet people who love the Easter bunny and despise the risen Savior. May we esteem Christ and never reject Him is my prayer.
