1Peter 4:12,13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. (13) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
If everything in your life is sailing along perfectly, don’t be surprised if a storm of trouble sweeps in unexpectedly. When we excepted Christ as our Savior we did not automatically become immune to the darts of the enemy. As a matter of fact, when we excepted Christ we put a target on our back that the enemy takes aim at. He is about the business of stealing, killing, and destroying and he will work at it until he is in the bottomless pit forever. Our job is to not get depressed and defeated when he attacks us but rather, rejoice in knowing that we are fellowshipping with our Savior’s suffering. Our joy in tribulation confounds the enemy and brings glory to God. So keep your chin up and don’t let the devil lick the sweet off of your candy. May we show forth the joy of the Lord in the midst of our trials is my prayer.
Keeping it Real!
