Philippians 3:13,14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (14) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Yesterday is over, today is a new day! Yesterday may have been filled with pain and sorrow, but today is a new day. Yesterday may have been filled with questions and frustration, but today is a new day. You’ve made it through yesterday and with God’s help you will make it through today. Just press on! Paul said he “pressed toward the mark”. Pressing denotes a struggle and determination to overcome the struggle. Life’s not easy but it is doable, we just have to press on. Press through the pain, press through the frustration, and press toward Christ. After all that’s what the struggle is all about, getting to Jesus. You see, the end of the story is this; when life’s struggle is over, we either get to Jesus or we don’t. So, keep your eyes on the prize and press toward Jesus. May God strengthen us, encourage us, and guide us to Jesus is my prayer.
