He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. (Matthew 28:6, 7 KJV)
“Rise and shine”, those were the words my brother and I would hear on Saturday mornings when our Dad was ready for us to perform some wonderful task like, mowing the grass. Dad expected us to rise and meet any challenge that was put before us, rather we liked it or not. It’s pretty obvious that Jesus wasn’t too excited about taking a beating and being nailed to the cross but He rose to the challenge. Through His tenacity and undaunted focus He showed us the pathway of victory and when He heard the Father’s voice calling Him from the grave He had no problem rising from the dead to overcome another challenge.
May we all arise to the voice of the Father and shine for Him is my prayer.
Keeping the Victory,
Pastor Crowson
