Luke 24:38 And He said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

An incredibly revealing thing happened when Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. They found out that Jesus knows what’s in your heart. He knows our thoughts and He knows when those thoughts become part of our internal makeup. The battle that goes on inside our hearts is one that we must take serious if we are to keep a pure heart before God. We must guard our hearts from the destructive thoughts that our flesh so loves to indulge in and we must counteract those thoughts with the things of God. Our heart is too important to allow it to be taken over by sinful and lustful garbage. Since Jesus knows our thoughts there is no reason to try to hide them from Him, instead, we should confess our faults to Him and allow His Word to wash us clean of all ungodliness. May our thoughts be pure and our hearts be right is my prayer.
