1Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Life is always about choices. Every time the enemy offers us a temptation, God offers us a way of escape. This is why there really never is a good excuse for the wrongs we do. God has given us as many opportunities to do what’s right as satan has to do what’s wrong. We have just failed to make good choices. When Joseph was tempted by Potiphar’s wife to commit adultery, Joseph literally ran for his life (Genesis 39:7-12). To him the choice was clear, either run or lose everything God had prepared him for. Drastic times call for drastic measures! If running is your best option, then by all means run. Whatever it takes to stay pure and holy before God, that’s what we must do. We must look for the way of escape that God has placed before us. Our spiritual future depends on every choice we make. May we keep our eyes open for the way of escape as we confront temptation is my prayer.
