Isaiah 43:18,19 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. (19) Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
The enemy is really good at picking at our weaknesses. He is always trying to bring before us our failures and shortcomings. He loves to keep us bogged down in our past. Let me encourage you to maintain your focus on the here and now and not the past. Sure the past is relevant to where we are, but spending time dwelling on the past will never get us to where we need to be now. If the past is an unresolved issue for you, deal with it once and for all. Allow Christ to heal the wounds of your past, to mend your broken heart, to truly set you free from the past and begin to focus on the new thing God wants to do in you. Leave the past in the past and embrace what God has before you. May we experience new victory as we release our past to God is my prayer.
