Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

It just breaks my heart to watch my 1 year old grandson look over his shoulder to see if I’m watching him when he’s about to do something I’ve told him not to do. It’s sad but true, everyone is born with a sin nature. Jesus warned us that our flesh was weak. To keep our spirit strong, He said that we should, “watch and pray”. Keeping our eyes open for potential temptations is something we should be doing all the time. We should never let our guard down, and we should always have an eye out for the works of the enemy. Of course, Jesus said we should also pray as we watch. Prayer provides us the wisdom and guidance we need to traverse the minefield of temptations we live in. Prayer also gives us the strength to overcome our own fleshly desires. May we keep our eyes open and our minds filled with the Word of God is my prayer.

Keeping it Real!
