Psalms 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

The alarm goes off and sounds it’s deafening, repetitious, obnoxious, noise. We slowly roll over and hit the snooze  button. The alarm repeats it’s mechanical obedience and the cycle repeats itself until we finally roll out of bed at the very last moment possible to get to work on time. Sometimes the only saving grace to getting out of bed is a good cup of coffee. The rush of caffeine into our system gives us that jolt we need to propel us into our day. If the alarm clock and the shower didn’t revive us, the coffee surely will. Our spiritual life can be like our morning routine. We can fall into a deep sleep and not realize that we are spiritually asleep. The reviving of our spirit comes from the presence of the Lord. As we seek Him in prayer, study His Word, and fellowship with other believers, God will invigorate us with His Spirit. May we be charged with God’s Spirit is my prayer.
