Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

There’s an old southern gospel song that goes something like this, “life is a few days of trouble a wise man once said”. Boy is that true! Sometimes it seems like that’s all life is, just one problem after another. If it’s not another bill, then someone is sick, or the car breaks down, or an appliance goes out, or lightening strikes the house and everything goes out; the list is endless. It can be very overwhelming at times. I want to encourage you with some words from an old friend of mine who once said, “if Jesus has anything to do with it, there will be peace because He is the Prince of Peace”. How true those words are, in the midst of the storm He speaks peace and the waves stop. In the midst of the turmoil He walks in and everything fades into the background in the presence of His glory. If you’re overwhelmed today, find a place to be alone with Jesus and allow Him to bring peace in the midst of your storm. May peace be your’s today is my prayer.
