Never Alone

Mark 4:36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

Several years ago I was deer hunting on my Uncle’s property in Woodville, Texas. I had been sitting in a tree stand for a couple of hours in a sparsely wooded area when I started having this feeling that I was not alone. Now, I’m not a believer in Big Foot but when your in the woods alone it can be a spooky place when you think something is near you. After a few minutes of scanning the area I caught a glimpse of something off of my left side. When I turned to see what it was I came face to face with a squirrel. He had eased down the tree and was literally inches from my face. My movement scared that little squirrel so bad that he jumped out of the tree and ran as hard as he could off into the woods. If you’re feeling all alone today, just know that Jesus has eased up right beside you. You may feel like a little ship compared to others but He always has room for everybody. His desire for you compels Him to stay near you, after all you are the apple of His eye. May you find comfort in Christ is my prayer.
