Matthew 4:18-20 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. (19) And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (20) And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

I find it amusing when I’m asked if I follow a certain preacher on twitter or face book. The answer is always no. It’s not that I don’t want to hear what they have to say, it’s just that I don’t have enough time to follow more than one person and the person I’m following is Christ. His call to His disciples is to simply follow Him. He declares that if we will follow Him, He will use our talents and abilities to win the lost to Him. He may lead us into places we would not have gone, but when He does it will be for the glory of the Father. He will lead us into His will, His virtues, and His blessings. He will lead us to the right spouse, the right career, and the right Church. He will lead us to green pastures and pure water because He is the good shepherd and we are His sheep. May we be found following the right shepherd is my prayer.
