When I was a little boy there wasn’t much that excited me like putting on dress clothes. Mom has pictures of me in those wide striped two piece suits with the bold bow tie and the shiny leather dress shoes. Putting on those outfits made me feel special and brought with them the adulations of my parents and friends. Christ offers us the opportunity that no one else can. He offers us a new man, created in His image. Salvation brings with it the virtues of Christ that are developed in us as we read the Bible and allow the Holy Spirit to apply it’s principles to our life. This was my prayer at my salvation, “God I haven’t done a very good job with my life, if you will have me, you can make me into a new man”. I can truly say that He has changed me from the inside out. I’m not the same person I was before salvation Jesus has produced love, joy, and peace in me and I now enjoy fellowship with the Father. May we all allow Christ to make us a new man is my prayer.
