Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

When the angel announced the coming birth of Jesus his proclamation was filled with powerful declarations about Jesus and His relationship with us. First there is no reason to fear Him. Why should we live in fear if we have the Prince of Peace? Second, His news is good news. The gospel of Jesus is the good news of salvation through Christ. Third, Jesus will bring great joy. Not temporal happiness but eternal everlasting joy. And last they proclaimed that this message was for all people. Every race, every generation, and every culture can be filled with His peace, goodness, and joy by receiving God’s gift of salvation through Christ. May we make this the best Christmas ever and receive Jesus and all that He has for us.
