Acts 4:29,30 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, (30)By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

One of satan’s greatest weapons is fear. He has used it throughout time to keep people from moving forward in their faith. When the newly formed New Testament church was threatened with death they didn’t cower in fear, they sought God’s power and boldness. Instead of hunkering down in a foxhole and waiting for the next attack,  they took the battle to the enemy. Today fear is sweeping the globe as radical islamic jihadist threaten to take over the world and kill everyone who opposes them. To counteract fear we must pray for God’s strength and boldness. We must stand tall in our faith and in the power of God’s might and boldly declare the Word  of the Lord. May we pray until we are filled with God’s power and boldness is my prayer.
