Psalm 24:3-5 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His holy place? (4)He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. (5)He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

That’s the goal isn’t it? To be blessed by God and walk in right standing before Him so that we can spend eternity in Heaven. Well, the psalmist gives us some keys to making that happen; clean hands, a pure heart, no vanity, and honesty are pathways to righteousness. In other words, staying clean on the outside, clean on the inside, being more worried about our spiritual condition than what our physical body looks like and speaking the truth are the products of righteousness. If the goal is heaven, then the means to get there is to emulate Christ and when we do our pathway will be marked by the blessings of God. May we stay on the highway of holiness is my prayer.
