Genesis 32:12

He said, Lift up now your eyes and see that all the male goats which are mating are striped, speckled, and mottled; for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.

It’s been said that our mother’s have eyes in the back of their heads. It seems like they always knew what we were up to. Of course, it could have been that as children we didn’t realize that they could hear us talking in the other room or just outside the window of their kitchen. However it was they sure caught us on a regular basis. When Jacob was enduring the mistreatment of Laban he probably thought that no one knew or even cared. It must of come as a pleasant surprise to find out that the God of the universe had seen every thing that was done to him and had kept good notes of the actions of Laban. If you feel alone today and like no one cares, take heart in the story of Jacob. God is watching over you and He is keeping good records of the wrongs that are done to you and vengeance will be His. May God bless and keep us is my prayer.
