Exodus 32:4

He took this from their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool and made it into a molten calf; and they said, “This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.”

Really! Aaron, who knew better, made a calf of gold and they bowed down and worshipped it? Yes, they really did! After all the miracles, the blessings, and their deliverance they turned their backs on God and worshipped an idol made by a man’s hands. Before you get to judgmental just remember that the same thing still goes on today. We have manmade idols all around us that people bow to. Just a reminder here, there is only one true God and it is He who has delivered us, blessed our nation, and provided for us! It is Jehovah God who deserves our worship and praise and it is He alone who should be bowed before. May we bow before the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and no other is my prayer.
