Leviticus 16:34

And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the Lord commanded Moses.

What a different world we would be living in if everybody just “did as the Lord commanded”. There would be no more sin, the world would be governed by love and righteousness, and there would be no need for law enforcement officials and armies because there would be no crime or violence. We could leave our doors unlocked and windows open, our children could play outside without fear of being harmed, and there would be no need for prisons and detention centers. We would live as brothers and sisters and there would be no ethnic or cultural prejudices. Our elderly would be honored and our young nurtured if we just “did as the Lord commanded”. May each of us do what the Lord commands is my prayer.
