Leviticus 20:23

Moreover, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I will drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them.

As salt and light to a sin filled world, we should be influencing everybody and everything. We are not supposed to allow the world to “press us into it’s mold,” (Romans 12:2) but rather we are to be changing the world into the image of God’s Son. We are the agents of change that God has given the charge of reaching the world with the Gospel of Christ. We can not allow the world to influence us, we must influence it. We must go against the flow of ungodliness at all cost. We must live holy and righteous in an unrighteous generation, and we must lift high the banner of Christ. May we bring godliness to this lost generation is my prayer.
