Numbers 3:45

“Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the sons of  Israel and the cattle of the Levites. And the Levites shall be Mine; I am the Lord.

When I was in elementary school we would exchange cards on Valentine’s Day. There was one card that was so endearing; it said, “Be mine”. If that card came from a girl it took on a whole new meaning. What an awesome thing for the Lord to say, “they shall be mine.” In the Old Testament the Levites were the firstborn set apart for the service of God but to the New Testament church the Apostle Peter says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;” (1 Peter 2:9). That’s right, you are chosen by God! He is calling this whole generation to be His! He desires our voluntary service and dedication to Him. May we all really be His is my prayer.
