Joshua 4:21,22

He said to the sons of Israel, “When your children ask their fathers in time to come, ‘What are these stones?’ Then you shall inform your children, saying, ‘Israel crossed this Jordan on dry ground.’

When God parted the Jordan river for Israel to pass over into the plains of Jericho they were commanded by God to take 12 stones out of the river and set up a memorial as a testimony of what God had done. That memorial is still standing today reminding the world of God’s power and provision. We should have testimonies in our lives that cause our children to ask, “What are these stones?” Each generation must be told about our God and our testimony is one way we can do that. May we be vocal about our God so that this generation may know Him is my prayer.
