So the men of Israel took some of their provisions, and did not ask for the counsel of the Lord.

The biggest mistakes I’ve made in my life were when I did not seek God’s counsel before I acted. The same ways Israel failed are often the same ways we fail today. God stands at the ready to answer our prayers and lead us into all truth. He longs for His people to trust and rely upon Him. He has all the answers and holds all the keys to our success. May we learn to call upon God before we act is my prayer.
