2 Kings 15:9

He did evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.

Just because our forefathers did a certain thing, doesn’t make it right. Each generation has the responsibility to seek God and to find out His ways for themselves. The Holy Spirit was given to us to reprove us, to rebuke us, and to guide us into all truth. God also has given us His Word, the church, and the five ministry gifts to enhance our spiritual journey. When we stand before God in judgement we will not be able to blame anyone but ourselves if we do not get to enter Heaven. May we seek God’s way is my prayer.
