1 Chronicles 26:1

For the divisions of the gatekeepers there were of the Korahites, Methelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

In the old testament there were appointed gatekeepers who stood guard over the city gates. The job was to protect the city and defend the people from enemy attacks. Today, we are the gatekeepers of ourselves, our families, and our country. We should be on the watch for enemy attacks, we should warn others about those attacks, and we should fight off the enemy. We are the gatekeepers of the Kingdom! May we sound the alarm and raise up the banner is my prayer.
