2 Chronicles 26:16

But when he became strong, his heart was so proud that he acted corruptly, and he was unfaithful to the Lord his God, for he entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

Human nature is so predictable. When we’re down and out we cry out to God for help, and He helps us. God blesses us and we become successful. When we’re successful we tend to forget how God blessed us and we become proud and boastful. Which, brings us to a place of destruction and takes us back to the point where we cried out to God for help. It’s a vicious cycle that many people repeat over and over in their lives. To break the cycle of failure, trust God in the valley and on the mountain top, stay humble, and always give God the glory. May we never lift ourselves up in pride is my prayer.
