Ezra 2:1

Now these are the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city.

It has never been God’s intention to have His people live in bondage. Captivity is brought upon us because of bad choices we make and the evil we engage in. Bondage often times comes because we submit ourselves to something that we should have never partaken of. We should keep our guard up and constantly be aware of the enticements around us. If we never taste, touch, or see the things we shouldn’t, then they can’t bind us up. May we live in the freedom God has for us is my prayer.
