Psalm 69:16 

Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

Being a far from perfect man David knew all about the lovingkindness and mercies of God. He had been a recipient of God’s mercy and forgiveness on several occasions. He had broken God’s commandments as an adulterer and a murderer and yet was still alive because of the mercies of God. If you have broken God’s law and are in danger of judgement, call out to Him in repentance and enjoy God’s lovingkindness and His mercy just as King David did. May we rest in God’s, mercy is my prayer.
