Jeremiah 16:19-21
19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. 20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods? 21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The Lord.
What a terrible thing to believe a lie and live your life accordingly. The manmade gods that people serve will be exposed for what they are; nothing, they are powerless, fake, non-existant imaginations of some man. But, God is all powerful, ever-present, all-knowing, and eternal and He will reveal Himself to His creation. He longs for us to know Him and be in relationship with Him. God is also just so don’t think that those who reject Him will not be judged because they will. If you are out of relationship with God, turn to Him today before His judgement is poured out. May we find God’s grace and mercy real to our lives is my prayer.
