Jeremiah 46:28

O Jacob My servant, do not fear, declares the Lord, for I am with you. For I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you, yet I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you properly and by no means leave you unpunished.

Since today is Saturday I was reflecting on a Saturday morning I will never forget. My Dad had awaken my brother and I early to do the yard work; we were not happy about that and our mood reflected our unhappiness. In the course of bagging leaves, which I found ridiculous, I talked back to my Mother. My mood instantly went from unhappy to terrified as my Dad escorted me to my room for a much needed spanking. Without correction our lives spiral out of control under the misdirection of the world. Our heavenly Father loves us too much to let that happen and will properly administer loving correction to even a nation if need be. May we adhere to the correction of God is my prayer.
