Micah 5:2

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

I just love how God takes small things and does mighty things with them; a staff in the hands of a leader, a little boys fish dinner, or a tiny country where the King of Kings was born. Or how about a 13 year old boy defeating a 9’6″ giant in battle, these are all ways that God shows His power, not man’s. God likes to have the odds stacked against His people so that it will be obvious that He is on our side. He seemingly gives the enemy huge advantages but always shows up with overwhelming power for His people. Our victories serve to glorify just how awesome our God is. May we let God be glorified as we trust Him for our victories is my prayer.
