Matthew 2:22, 23

22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Then after being warned by God in a dream, he left for the regions of Galilee, 23 and came and lived in a city called Nazareth. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets: “He shall be called a Nazarene.”

God was able to use Joseph because he listened to His warnings. Throughout the story of the birth of Jesus, God speaks to Joseph through dreams and visions. Even though Joseph had fears and doubts he listened to what God was saying. How many times have we missed God’s will because we didn’t heed His warnings? Don’t let your emotions misguide you; look for God’s warning signs and He will lead you into His will. May we hear and obey God’s voice is my prayer.
