Mark 15:27, 28

They crucified two robbers with Him, one on His right and one on His left. 28. And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And He was numbered with the transgressors.”

Much has been made about the two thieves on the crosses beside Jesus. One thief rejecting Christ until the end and one receiving eternal life while being crucified for his sins. The powerful truth of the cross is this; Jesus was numbered with all transgressors. That means that while “we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God” Christ suffered the penalty of our sins so that we could be freed from the guilt of our sins. Look at it this way, you and I are hanging on the guilt of our sins right now. While hanging on our sins we can choose life and liberty with Jesus Christ or we can choose to die in our sins and suffer eternal punishment. Choose Christ today and you can avoid the eternal punishment that awaits all unrepentant sinners. May we all be liberated from our sins by Christ is my prayer.
