Luke 10:41,42
41 But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
While we are all being bombarded by the things of this life, it’s always a good thing to stop and assess where we’re at and what we’re doing. Jesus point to Martha was this; the house work will always be with you but I won’t. Mary dropped what she was doing when Jesus walked in the room and gave Him her undivided attention. Martha, on the other hand, kept about her chores and missed the opportunity to bless Jesus. As you assess yourself make sure that you always make time for Jesus in your busy schedule. Being in the Master’s presence is more important than anything you could possibly have to do. May we spend time with Jesus is my prayer.
