Genesis 39:10

She pestered him day after day after day, but he stood his ground. He refused to go to bed with her.

Potipher’s wife was a relentless thorn in the flesh of Joseph. While he was working day after day after day to prosper her husband and take care of his business, she was working to destroy Joseph. Her attempts to seduce him culminated in an aggressive attack on his flesh, his only recourse was to run. He just refused to give in to her temptations. His relationship with God was way more important to him than the temporary pleasure of an adulterous affair. It’s a constant battle to maintain the standard of holiness, but isn’t pleasing God worth it? May we lift up God’s standard at all cost is my prayer.
