Exodus 12:13

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

God’s judgements upon Egypt were devastating. They lost their crops, everything from grass to leaves were eaten by locusts, their water turned to blood, over run by frogs, and so on. The worst plague was the last though, their firstborn died. To prevent the same judgement on God’s people they were instructed to take blood from the passover lamb and place it upon the doorposts of their home. This was a sign to us for our deliverance from the judgement that is to come on planet earth. Since Jesus is the New Testament sacrifice for sin, His blood must be applied to your life to escape the wrath that is to come. Receive Christ as your Savior today and His blood will be your saving grace. May we escape the wrath that is to come is my prayer.
