Deuteronomy 24:18

But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and that the Lord your God redeemed you from there; therefore I am commanding you to do this thing.

It’s always good to remember where we came from and how God delivered us from our sins. Remembering where we came from keeps us humble, helps us understand why others are like they are, and keeps us compassionate about the needs of others. Also, remembering where we came from causes us to walk in continual praise and thanks to God. He has been so good to us, and in turn, we should be good to others. May we honor God as we praise Him for His goodness to us is my prayer.
