Now the name of Hebron was formerly Kiriath-arba; for Arba was the greatest man among the Anakim. Then the land had rest from war.

Three powerful points taken from Caleb’s victory at Hebron: (1) The greatest of our enemies will be defeated. (2) What God promises, He will deliver. (3) Rest awaits the victorious. The battles your fighting today will become your rest for tomorrow. Never quit, be strong, and very courageous, for God is with you.
