2 Chronicles 16:12

In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa became diseased in his feet. His disease was severe, yet even in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but the physicians.

What will it take for us to seek God? King Asa died in his disease because he sought the help of physicians instead of seeking God. If he had sought God first, God may have directed him to see a physician but his failure to seek God exposed his lack of faith in God. What God wants from us is trust in and dependence on Him. He is Jehovah Jirah (the Lord will see to it, the Lord will provide) and His desire is to provide for His children. May we trust God for everything is my prayer.
