Job 1:21

Naked I came from my mother’s womb, naked I’ll return to the womb of the earth. God gives, God takes. God’s name be ever blessed.

Job had a grip on what really matters, a personal, eternal relationship with God. Rich men and poor men are equal when they stand before God in judgement and they both need a savior to guarantee their access into Heaven. Job’s troubles were as bad as you can imagine but he kept his focus on his relationship with God and would not let satan rob him of what mattered the most. You may be facing the most difficult situations you have ever had to walk through in your life. You may feel overwhelmed and depressed but be encouraged today in the life of Job. You too can put it all in perspective by focusing on what really matters, your eternal relationship with God. These troubles are temporary and forever is a long, long, time. May we stay focused on God is my prayer.
