Job 19:28, 29

“If you’re thinking, ‘How can we get through to him, get him to see that his trouble is all his own fault? Forget it. Start worrying about yourselves. Worry about your own sins and God’s coming judgment, for judgment is most certainly on the way.” (the Message)

I’m so glad that when I stand in judgement before God I will only answer for my own sins, not anybody else’s. Wherever we’re at in our life, whatever attitudes we’re exhibiting, whatever habits that grip us, or whatever fears have overtaken us can not be blamed on anybody but ourselves. Sure, someone may have exposed us to the thing that grips us but it was us who chose to make it a part of our lives. Taking ownership of our lives is the first step to becoming what God wants us to be. Confess your faults to God and allow Him to free you from what grips you. May we all be free in Christ is my prayer.
