Job 22:1

Once again Eliphaz the Temanite took up his theme: “Are any of us strong enough to give God a hand, or smart enough to hive Him advice?” (the Message)

We’ve all been guilty of trying to help God by doing things He hasn’t told us to do. Our job is to pray about everything, listen for His answer, and do what He says do. Doing what He says do is usually the hard part because often times His answer is to wait or not yet. What God needs from us is not help, it’s obedience. Obeying Him will produce His will, not ours and His will is always best. May our prayer today be, “Not my will but your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven”.
