Psalm 12:5

Into the hovels of the poor, into the dark streets where the homeless groan, God speaks: “I’ve had enough; I’m on my way to heal the ache in the heart of the wretched.”

What hurts us on the inside manifests itself on the outside. That’s the reason for the attitudes we exhibit, the harsh reactions people receive from us, and the lack of sustaining joy in our lives. God is like an internal medicine doctor, He goes past the external symptoms and goes straight to the pain on the inside. He removes the source of the pain so that His virtues are free to flow through us. Our job is to open ourselves up to Him and submit to the work of the Holy Spirit. May we be changed on the inside so that we glorify God in all we do is my prayer.
