Psalm 42:11

Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God, soon I’ll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God.

Life’s journey is “a few days and full of trouble” according to Job. To make it through his troubles He fixed his eyes and heart on God. Looking at our problems only makes them seem bigger, the bigger they seem, the more impossible they become for us to overcome. Fixing our eyes on God removes everything else from our view and places God back on the throne of our lives where He belongs. When we’re fixed on the One on the throne, there are no impossibilities. May we fix our eyes on God is my prayer.
