Psalm 141:3,4

Post a guard at my mouth, God, set a watch at the door of my lips. Don’t let me so much as dream of evil or thoughtlessly fall into bad company.

It’s amazing what bad trouble we get ourselves into when we don’t take time to think. Thoughtlessly pursuing life produces broken relationships, addictions, and even prison. Years ago I had a ministry visit with a death row inmate who had committed murder. He told me that he had hit a man in rage without thinking and the man died. He wouldn’t have been put to death if he would have just took the time to think before he acted. Take a moment before you act and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. He will guide you in the right direction. May we think before we act is my prayer.
