Proverbs 8:10, 11

Prefer my life-disciplines over chasing after money, and God-knowledge over a lucrative career. For Wisdom is better than all the trappings of wealth; nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.

Life seems to be one big chase. We chase after education, a spouse, a career, and a home when all the while God is trying to make our life easier by endowing us with wisdom. Wisdom is more important than all the things we could chase after. Wisdom reduces every decision, no matter how complex, to the simplicity of listening to the Holy Spirit. Wisdom waits, contemplates, and moves at it’s own pace, it doesn’t react, it acts. End the chase today and grab ahold of wisdom, your life will be much simpler. May we trust in God’s wisdom is my prayer.
