Isaiah 29:13

The Master said: “These people make a big show of saying the right thing, but their hearts aren’t in it. Because they act like they’re worshiping Me but don’t mean it, I’m going to step in and shock them awake, astonish them, stand them on their ears.”

There seems to be an epidemic of a religious spirit in our society today. You know, this activity of going to church, saying religious catches phrases, and talking about knowing God when in actuality He’s the farthest thing from being our Lord. You can know you are under the influence of a religious spirit when you never pray, never read the Bible, and live any way you please while calling yourself a Christian. Don’t be deceived into believing this is ok, it’s not. God expects us to have a close relationship with Him and to prove out that relationship by trusting and obeying Him. May we all get real with God is my prayer.
