Luke 6:26

“There’s trouble ahead when you live only for the approval of others, saying what flatters them, doing what indulges them. Popularity contests are not truth contests—look how many scoundrel preachers were approved by your ancestors! Your task is to be true, not popular.

Living your life trying to please everyone is an impossible task. Even the best politicians can only win a little more than 50% of the people with their promises. Our role as christians is not to be popular but to be true, to be true to God’s Word, His ways, and His mission. The best friend we can be to others is to share the truth of the Gospel, even when they don’t receive it. May we be true is my prayer.
