1 Corinthians 12:1 (KJV)

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

Paul instructed the church about many things, including spiritual gifts, because he did not want us to be ignorant. God wants us to be informed and knowledgable followers of Christ. To avoid spiritual ignorance we should not only read God’s Word but we should spend time studying His Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. May we become the informed believers God expects us to be is my prayer.
