Leviticus 8:30

So Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.

Everyone likes to talk about the anointing and it’s benefits, but to talk about anointing and leave out the consecration is short sided at the least. Consecration, being set apart for God, is what produces the anointing. God gets excited about a people who will separate themselves from the world and commit themselves to His ways. The anointing will surely rest on a consecrated people. May we be holy unto God is my prayer.
